 August 12, 2011 - The Big Mac Band Boosters, impressed with video productions by Burchesky Video, have contracted the team to produce their annual video.  Here cameraman Steve Burchesky is capturing warmup action prior to the Kennywood Parade festival.

In early March of 2011, Michael learned about a video contest honoring Dr. Jonas Salk.  Because of his skills as a videographer and as well as  personal interest, Michael applied to be a contestant.  Here, Michael is putting the final edit touches on his production.  The contest called "Take A Shot At Changing The World", has encouraged students from all around the Pittsburgh area to submit their video entries.  All videos can now be viewed online. The winning video will be determined in the next few weeks by a panel of judges as well as by popular vote. Michael is a sophmore at Canon McMillan High School....so his entry is in the 10-12 grade category.  More

Michael was recently commissioned by Mr. Gary Gilman to produce a short campaign video.  Mr. Gilman is running for Judge of Washington County, PA.

Here, Michael is adjusting the microphone on Mr. Gilman during the taping. Mr. Gilman has also asked Michael to produce a slide show that will be shown at various fundraising events.

HISTORY-  Michael became interested in video when he learned he could create his own school productions! His first full production was the 8th grade play.  Filming it on two night with a single camera, the finished production looks as if two cameras were used. Once he finsighed that production, he has since turned out end-of-the-year videos for the swim, cross country and track and field teams. 


"Michael is one of the most skillful editors I have ever seen"  Says Steve.  He cuts with "Final Cut Pro" and is terrific!


Together, Steve and Michael are a great team!


Michael is a capable young director, creative artist and video editor.  His editing skills began with 1:1 teaching from the talented Andy Rea of New York City who now "cuts with "Switch FX" .

BURCHESKY-VIDEO IS  a family operation starting with Steve who got into video production after deciding filmstrips, slide shows were getting to be old hat and the world of video production was that of the future.  His production experience began in Hollywood, California in 1980. Some of his clients:  Highmark Inc., Integra/National City Bank, Coldwell Banks and People's Gas (now Old Dominion), Washington County Bar Association.

Whenever he is able, Steve enjoys taking video whenever Michael or Natalie are involved in sports.  This photo, Natalie captured on a Nikon D80 while Steve was taping a track event.
